I have a plan with Telstra for 20Gb a month at $40, ADSL2. It may not be the best, but it cheaper than most. Of course, I always manage to get capped once a month...(capping is better than additional fees....and my full downloads reach around 30GB a month sometimes)...but it does what it needs to do at the moment...sorta.
Of course your ultimate downloads idea sounds great, can I borrow your modem for a week?
